EILEEN  HAINES


 

Eileen Haines, 55, of Murphy died Monday (June 25, 2007) at her residence.  A native of Scotland, she came to America in 1961 and moved to Murphy in 2001.  She was a 1974 graduate of Columbia University with a degree in nursing.  She had worked as a nurse for many years for several hospitals including Yale, Duke, and Albany Medical Center.  Eileen was a member of the Saint William Catholic Church.
 
Surviving are three sons, Darrick Haines and Blair Haines and wife, Brandi all of Murphy, and Trevor Haines of Marble;  her parents, Peter and Catherine McDonnell Gilbane of Marble;  three brothers, James Gilbane of New Haven, CT, Peter Gilbane Jr. of Marble, and Patrick Gilbane of Saugerties, NY;  and two grandchildren, Alexander and Bria Haines.
 
Funeral mass at 11:00 AM Thursday (June 28) in the Saint William Catholic Church with Father George Kloster officiating.  Interment in Blue Mountain Cemetery in Saugerites, NY.
 
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Wednesday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Eileen Haines to a charity of your choice.
