DORCAS GLENN



Dorcas Glenn, 84, of Brevard, NC, formerly of Andrews, died Tuesday (June 5, 2007) in a Brevard nursing facility. A native of Jackson County, NC, she had lived for 25 years in Hightstown, NJ before returning to North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late R.P. and Ethel Sutton Sherrill and the wife of the late Leslie Glenn, who died June 24, 1970. She was a homemaker and a member of the Andrews First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a brother, R.P. Sherrill Jr.

Surviving are a daughter, Mary Anne Freeman of Canton, NC; two sons, Ned Glenn of Ewing, NJ and Jim Glenn and wife, Sandra of Wake Forest, NC; and six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services at 2:00 PM Saturday (June 9) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews with Rev. Paul Jones officiating. Interment in Valleytown Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12-1:45 Saturday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews prior to the services.
