FLORENCE C. ONDICH

Florence C. Ondich, 74, of Murphy died Tuesday, June 16, 2009 in a Murphy medical center nursing home. A native of Stuart, FL, Florence had lived in Murphy since 1989. She was the daughter of the late William W. and Mabel Allen Meggett Jr. She retired as Assistant Director of Nursing at Murphy Medical Center Nursing Home. She had worked in the field of geriatrics for 35 years. Florence was a member of the Saint Andrew Lutheran Church.

Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Andy Ondich; two daughters, Debra Gavras and husband, Jon of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Karen Walls and husband, Greg of Indianapolis, IN; a son, A. Scott Ondich of Palm Beach Gardens; a sister, Margie Ducote of Stuart; and two grandchildren, Jake Ondich and Tyler Walls.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 20 in the Saint Andrew Lutheran Church with Rev. George Simmons officiating. Interment was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Scott and Art Ondich, Jon Gavras, Greg Walls, Robert McCullough, Ray DeLoach, Ray Boehlke, and Lloyd Cash.

The family received friends from 6-8 Friday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy.
