CHRISTINE McDONALD

Christine McDonald, 86, of Andrews died Monday (January 30, 2006) in a Murphy medical center. A native and lifetime resident of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late James Lewis and Lilly Mae Everette Barber and the wife of the late Calvin McDonald. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Loraine Gibson and Lilly Mae Brackett; and one brother, Ralph Barber.

Surviving are two nieces, Joyce Grant and husband, Ray of Lexington, NC and Marsha Barber of Bradford, VT; and several cousins.

Graveside services at 10:00 AM Wednesday (March 22, 2006) in the Valley River Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. William Coble officiating. Pallbearers: Ray Grant, R.L. Bruce, and Edward Holloway.

Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews in charge of all arrangements.
