GOLDIE MARIE STEVENS
Goldie Marie Stevens, 91, of Hayesville died Tuesday (March 7, 2006) in a Clay County care facility. A native of Carter County, KY, she had lived in Cherokee and Clay Counties for the past 20 years. She was the daughter of the late Israel and Linda Holbrook Holbrook and the wife of the late Virgil Stevens, who died July 28, 1990. She was a homemaker and a member of the Regular Baptist Church in Olive Hill, KY.
Surviving are a daughter, Betty Ledford and husband, Adam of Hayesville; three sons, Lowell Curtis Stevens of Murphy, Eddie Stevens and wife, Marilyn of Vanlue, OH, and Ted Stevens and wife, Christine of Kenton, OH; and 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.
Funeral services at 11:00 AM Saturday (March 11) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville with the Rev. Carroll Roper officiating. Burial in Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville.
