Aris Anderson, 85, of Hayesville died Thursday (March 22, 2007) in a Clay County care center.  A native and lifelong resident of Clay County, he was the son of the late G.W. “Ton” and Wilma Spivey Anderson and the husband of the late Palice Reynolds Anderson, who died Sept. 30, 2000.  In his early life, he had worked as a saw miller and later in life, he worked at Intercomp Wire & Cable, where he retired from.  Aris was a member of the Shooting Creek Church of God.
 
Surviving are three sons, Matthew Anderson, Rev. Mark Anderson, and Danny Anderson all of Hayesville;  and five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
 
Funeral services at 11:00 AM Saturday (March 24) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville with the Revs. Lyndon Anderson and Jim Payne officiating.  Interment in the Shooting Creek Church of God Cemetery.  Pallbearers:  Ricky, Brian, Mark A., James, Phillip, and Steven Anderson.
 
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville.
 
The family requests memorials be made to the Shooting Creek Church of God Cemetery Fund, 41 Neal Davenport Drive, Hayesville, NC 28904.
