DORIS BARBARA HARDIN CLARK

Doris Barbara Hardin Clark, 71, of Andrews went home to be with the Lord on Saturday (March 10) after a long illness. A native of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Gay Astor and Lola Jo Ellis Hardin. She was a sewing machine operator at Owenby Manufacturing in Andrews. Doris loved cooking for her family, gardening, sewing, and singing for the Lord. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. She was a member of the Beaver Creek Freewill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Hardin; and three brothers, Glen C. Hardin, Moss Hardin, and Ronnie Hardin.
Surviving are her husband, Arnold Andrew Clark; five daughters, Joan Swinney and husband, George and Pam Rymer and husband, Ronnie all of Dalton, GA, Joyce Thomas McCullen and husband, Bob of Gastonia, NC, Becky Minor and husband, Gary of Chatsworth, GA, and Violet Marlowe and husband, Tim of Marion, NC; a son, James Barton and wife, Myra of Jacksonville, FL; two brothers, Bob Hardin and wife, Francis of Andrews and Steve Hardin and wife, Barbie of Sylva, NC; and nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren
Funeral services at 2:00 PM Wednesday (March 14) in the Chapel of the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews with Revs. Chris Rumfelt and Ronnie Crisp officiating. Interment in the Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers: Shaun Swinney, Allen Fauscett, Larrie Thomas, Nathaniel Barton, Waylon Coffey, and Michael Booth. Honorary pallbearers: George Swinney and Gary Minor.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews.
