PAUL LUTHER FRIES

Paul Luther Fries, 93, of Andrews died Saturday (March 24, 2007) in an Andrews care center. He was a native of Hoyes Run, MD, but had lived in Broadview, IL before moving to Andrews in 1973. He was the son of the late Robert Luther and Ophelia Alice Fries. He had served in the United States Coast Guard. Paul had worked as an electrical instructor for Coyne in Chicago, IL. After moving to Andrews, he worked for his brother- in-law, Harold Jones, at Mid-Nite Electric and taught at Tri-County Community College. He was a mason.

Surviving are his wife, Fida “Fretzie” Fries.
 
Funeral services at 2:00 PM Thursday (March 29) in the Chapel of the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews with Father Michael Cottar officiating. Interment in the Valleytown Cemetery.  Pallbearers: Danny Luther, Ray, Roy, and Burke West, John Cook, and Anthony Jones. Honorary pallbearers:  Arnold Wilson and James V. Vollmer.
 
The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:45 Thursday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews prior to the services.
