MICKIE McCLURE MORGAN

Mickie McClure Morgan, 46, of Hayesville died Tuesday, March 24, 2009 in an Atlanta, GA hospital. She was a native and lifetime resident of Clay County. She was a 1985 graduate of Western Carolina University with a BSBA degree. She had worked for over 20 years with United Community Bank in Blairsville, GA. Mickie was a member of the Oak Forest United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband of 22 years, Kevin “Cooter” Morgan; a son, Kery Morgan of the home; her parents, Carroll and Irma Nichols McClure of Hayesville; two sisters, Jenny Rogers and Julie Rogers both of Hayesville; the maternal grandmother, Hazel Coker Nichols of Young Harris, GA and the paternal grandmother, Pearl McClure of Hayesville; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held at 4:00 PM Saturday, March 28 in the Oak Forest United Methodist Church with the Revs. Jacob Kyker and Jackie Sellers officiating.

The family received friends from 2-3:50 Saturday afternoon at the Oak Forest United Methodist Church prior to the services.
