JAMES  R.  HOGSED


 

James R. Hogsed, 62, of Hickory, NC, formerly of Murphy, died Thursday (May 24, 2007) in Newton, NC.  He was a native of Polk County, TN, but had lived in Cherokee County most of his life until moving to Hickory two years ago.  He was the son of the late Marshall Hogsed. James was a member of the Mount Liberty Baptist Church.
 
Surviving are his mother, Rethal Self Hogsed of Hickory;  a sister, Ellen Rose Parker of Hickory; and two nieces, a great niece, five great nephews and a great great nephew.
 
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday (May 27) in the Mount Liberty Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Paul Grindstaff officiating.
