Stilley, 87, of Andrews died Sunday (May 25, 2008) in an Andrews care center. A native of Macon County, she had been living in Cherokee County for the past 24 years. She was the daughter of the late John H. and Etta Douthit Cross and the wife of the late Walter J. Stilley. Alice was a homemaker and was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed reading and studying her Bible. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest and Arnold Cross. Surviving are one sister-in-law, Lillie Cross of Andrews; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held in the Briartown Baptist Church Cemetery on Tuesday (May 27) following the visitation. Pallbearers were Shane, Danny, and Bill Cross, Ronnie Waldroup, Keith Postell, and Junior Harris. The family received friends from 1:00-2:00 Tuesday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews.
