CHARLES ANTHONY “CHUCK” WALKER
Charles Anthony “Chuck” Walker, 75, of Murphy died Saturday (May 17, 2008) in an Atlanta, GA hospital. A native of Perryopolis, PA, he had moved to Murphy from St. Charles, IL in 1993. He had graduated from West Virginia University and was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Air Force. He had been employed by Sears as a National Quality Control Manager for 35 years. Chuck was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.
Surviving are his wife Naomi Walker; five daughters, Terri Mayotte and husband, Michael and Karen Fitzsimmons and Mark Alexander all of Geneva, IL, Tami Judd and husband, Robert of St. Charles, IL, Patricia Dugo and husband, Biagio of South Elgin, IL, and Lisa Kruse and husband, Kent of Batavia, IL; a son, Thomas Walker and wife, Kim of Blairsville, GA; and 13 grandchildren and a great grandchild.
Memorial services were held at 1:00 PM Tuesday (May 20) in the Murphy First United Methodist Church with Rev. George Yates officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Charles Anthony “Chuck” Walker to the Murphy First United Methodist Church, PO Box 86, Murphy, NC 28906.
