Robin Ray Brooks, 52, of Murphy died Saturday (May 24, 2008) in an Asheville, NC hospital.  A native of Broward County, FL, he had been living in Cherokee County since 1974.  He was the son of the late Stanley Ray and Frances Mallie Quinn Brooks.  Robin was of the Methodist faith.
 
Surviving are a sister, Teresa Dayle Brooks of Murphy;  and a brother, John Gary Brooks of Daytona Beach, FL.
 
Inurment will be held at a later date in Reid’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
