WILLIAM FILO CARROLL




William Filo Carroll, 81, of Murphy died Saturday (May 31, 2008) at his residence. He was a native of Tahlequah, OK where he had lived most of his life before moving to Murphy in 1997. He was the son of the late John Filo and Grace Bowman Carroll. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Coast Guard. He was a retired electrical technician in the aerospace industry. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Oklahoma.

Surviving are his wife, Wilma Cobb Carroll; three daughters, Paula Ruth Hamby of Tahlequah, Juanita Tarbox of Cape Canaveral, FL, and Teresea Hensley of Orlando, FL; five sons, David Carroll of Wisconsin, Timothy Carroll of Tulsa, OK, Carl Carroll and John Tarbox both of Orlando, and Gene Tarbox of Bethany, OK; and 28 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be planned for a later date in Merritt Island, FL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of William Filo Carroll to the Shriners Hospital for Children (Burn Center), 3229 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45229-3095.
