CHARLES
WILSON
Charles Wilson, 93, of Andrews died Tuesday (Nov. 25, 2003) in an Andrews care
facility. A native of Cherokee County, he was the son of the late Dallas and
Maggie Thomason Wilson. Charles had worked in the textile industry and was a
member of the Red Marble Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 72 years, Melinda Mae Postell Wilson; a daughter, Brenda
Maxine Kelly of Rockingham, NC; two sons, Doyle Wilson of Andrews and Charles
Randy Wilson of Rockingham; two sisters, Beulah Kiser and Willabell Pruit both
of Gastonia; a brother, Luther Wilson of Gastonia; and 15 grandchildren and 26
great grandchildren.
Funeral services at 2:00 PM Friday (Nov. 28) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home,
Andrews with the Revs. Mickey Stewart, France Postell, Carl Roper, and Tony Cochran
officiating. Burial in Red Marble Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Hugh
Forbes Jr., Kevin Moore, Brian, Hubert, and Mark Forbes, and Jeff Postell.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday evening at the Ivie Funeral
Home, Andrews.
