  Remember your loved one in their online PERSONAL GUEST BOOK. Click the link at the bottom of each obituary. Jerry E. Anderson, 67, of Andrews died Tuesday (Nov. 2, 2004) in a Murphy hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, he was the son of the late Lester L. Anderson and Thelma Whitaker Anderson Hardin. Jerry was a veteran of the US Air Force. He retired from Baker Furniture in 1990 after working for ten years. He was a member of Valley River Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny and Jack Anderson. Surviving are his wife, Ruth Killian Anderson; three sons, Jerry Anderson Jr. and his wife, Lori, Tim, and Marty Anderson and his wife, Tina all of Murphy; a sister, Lucille Garrett of Andrews; and nine grandchildren and one great grandson. Funeral services at 2:00 PM Thursday (Nov. 4) in the Valley River Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Phillips officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Pallbearers: Butch Graham, James Davey, Joey Taylor, Tommy Dockery, Keith Gillespie, and Rodney Scarlette. The family will receive friends from 12-1:45 Thursday afternoon at the Valley River Baptist Church prior to the services.
