A native of Cobb County, GA, she had been living in Cherokee County for the past 35 years. She was a homemaker. Josephine was a faithful member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church in Murphy where she was a choir member and missionary. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mattie Ruth Smith, who died Oct. 31, 2003 and a sister, Mattie, who died in 1988. Surviving are a nephew, Austin; a host of cousins; and special friends, Phyllis House and Grace Mauldin. Funeral services at 11:00 AM Saturday (Nov. 21) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with the Rev. Frank Blount officiating. Burial in the Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Murphy. The family will receive friends from 10-10:45 Saturday morning at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy prior to the services. Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy in charge of all arrangements. Remember
