JOYCE ROSE

Joyce Rose, 65, of Turtletown, TN died Sunday (November 7, 2004) in Life Care Center of Copper Basin. A native of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Nath A. and Lerrie Green Mason. She had been an associate at Wal-Mart for five years and a member of the Swanson Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a son, Arnold Taylor; a step-son, Russell Rose; two sisters, Yvonne Mason and Floyce Johnson; and a brother, Gene Mason.

Surviving are her husband, Lloyd Rose; two daughters, Karen Hyatt and her husband, Kenneth of Springdale, AR and Hope Douglas and her husband, Stephen of Cumming, GA; two step-daughters, Betty Gudel of Chattanooga, TN and Patricia Williams and her husband, Doug of Robbinsville, NC; two sons, Curtis Taylor and his wife, Brenda of Pleasant Hill, TN and Anthony Rose of Murphy; a step-son, Dennis Rose and his wife, Louellen of Turtletown; a sister, Joy Lynn Stratton of Murphy; two brothers, Troy Mason of Violet, NC and Coy Mason of Murphy; and 21 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services at 2:00 PM Tuesday (Nov. 9) at the Swanson Baptist Church with Revs. Freddie Maney and Calvin Murphy officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Pallbearers: Robbie Moore, Mitchell Rose, Eric and Floyd Davis, Jerry Morrow, and Jerry Hughes.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 Monday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy where the body will be until placed in the church one hour prior to the services.
