EZELLA MARGARET "SUE" McNABB

Ezella Margaret "Sue" McNabb, 81, of Murphy died Sunday (Nov. 7, 2004) at her residence. A native of Polk County, she had been living in Cherokee County for the past 36 years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed working in her yard. Sue was an active member of the Friendship Baptist Church.

She was the daughter of the late Willard and Pearl Dupree Lawrence and she was preceded in death by her husband, William Max McNabb, who died Nov. 8, 1985 and a son and daughter-in-law, Richard Lawrence and Peggy Thompson McNabb.

Surviving are a daughter, Paula Kern and husband, Edward H. of Richmond, VA; a son, Bill McNabb and wife, Mary of Hiawassee Dam; eight grandsons, Christopher and David Kern, and Lawrence, Willie, Jeff, Ben, Nathan, and Evan McNabb; and four great grandchildren, Cortney, Colby, Spencer, and Brianna McNabb.

Funeral services at 11:00 AM Thursday (Nov. 11) in the Friendship Baptist Church with the Revs. Glenn Rogers and Calvin Murphy officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Grandsons as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 Wednesday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy where the body will be until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o T.L. McNabb, 186 Friendship Church Road, Murphy, NC 28906.
