MELINDA L. “LINDA” ALLISON

Melinda L. “Linda” Allison, 38, of Hayesville died Friday, November 25, 2005 in a Clay County care center. She was a native of Towns County, GA, but had lived in Clay County most of her life. She was the daughter of Louise McCray of Hayesville and the late Ronnie McCray, who died August 15, 1988. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Wayne McDowell; and her paternal grandparents, Theron and Ellavee McCray.

Surviving, in addition to the mother, are her husband, Clifford Allison; two sons, Samuel and Jeffery Allison both of Hayesville; a sister, Melissa Rhonda Ledford of Hayesville; and a maternal grandmother, Christine McDowell.

Funeral services at 2:00 PM Tuesday (Nov. 29) in Fires Creek Baptist Church with Revs. Dallas Crowder and Aud Brown officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Pallbearers: Paul and William Wayne McDowell, Mike, Ricky, and Dwayne McCray, and Ricky Carter.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the Fires Creek Baptist Church and from 12-1:45 Tuesday afternoon at the Fires Creek Baptist Church prior to the services.
