MAUDE R. COOK
Maude R. Cook, 94, of Hayesville died Tuesday (November 15, 2005) in a Clay County care facility. A native of Macon County, she had lived in Clay County all of her life. She was the daughter of the late Edward L. and Fannie Pendergrass Roper and the wife of the late Paul S. Cook, who died December 28, 1983. She was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Ann Moore and husband, Marvin of Hillsboro, TN, Nancy M. Cooper of Fayetteville, GA, and Sandra C. Strickland and husband, Wade of Smyrna, GA; three sons, Gerald P. Cook and wife, Sarah of Lawrenceburg, TN, Mitchell E. Cook and wife, Mary Ann of Fayetteville, GA, and Garth Cook and wife, Carolyn of Warne; two sisters, Ruth Cheeks of Hayesville and Nannie McGaha of Bristol, VA; and nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services at 2:00 PM Saturday (Nov. 19) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville with the Rev. Doyce Waters officiating. Burial in Laurel Hills Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville.
The family requests memorials be made in memory of Maude R. Cook to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, 100 Edgewood Road, Asheville, NC 28804-3597.
