EDWIN N. SUTTON

Edwin N. Sutton, 77, of Murphy died Tuesday (Nov. 27, 2007) in a Murphy medical center. A native of Wayne County, MI, he had been living in Cherokee County since 1992. He was the son of the late Frederick and Anna Anderson Sutton. He had served in the US Army in Japan after WWII with the Occupation Forces.  He was a retired salesman, having worked for H.J. Heinz Company and Montgomery Ward Company. He had been attending the Murphy First United Methodist Church.
 
He was preceded in death by a sister, Florence Podina;  a brother, Frederick Sutton;  and a grandson, Michael Hossack.
 
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Eleanor Bisbee Sutton;  a daughter, Charlene Hossack and husband, Douglas of Tampa, FL;  two sons, Douglas C. Sutton and wife, Malinda of McDonough, GA and Scott F. Sutton of the home;  and three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
 
Funeral service at 2:00 PM Saturday (Dec. 1) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with the Rev. George Yates officiating.
 
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Edwin N. Sutton to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.
