NOEL DAVID NEAL


 

Noel David Neal, 74, of Lawrenceville, GA, formerly of Hiawassee, GA, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008. He was a native of Clay County, but grew up in Young Harris and Hiawassee, GA before moving to Atlanta almost 50 years ago. He was the son of the late Howard and Maude Matheson Neal. He was a graduate of Young Harris College and later graduated from the University of Georgia. Noel had served in the United States Army. He had retired in sales and as a purchasing agent in the heating and air conditioning industry. He was a past member of the Woods Grove Baptist Church and was presently a member of Northside Baptist Church in Lawrenceville.

Surviving are a daughter, Leisa Kent and husband, Harry of Snellville, GA; a son, David Neal and wife, Debbie of Alpharetta, GA; a sister, Helen Eller and husband, Hermon of Hiawassee; a brother, Morris Neal and wife, Guin of Young Harris; and five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at 2:00 PM Saturday, Nov. 22 in the Woods Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Guy Priester officiating.

The family received friends from 1-1:45 Saturday afternoon at the Woods Grove Baptist Church prior to the services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Noel David Neal to the Woods Grove Baptist Church, c/o Jerry Kendall, 1700 Kendall Road, Young Harris, GA 30582.
