JOHN KEITH DAY

John Keith Day, 34, of Andrews died Wednesday (Oct. 1, 2003) in a Murphy hospital. A native of Pontiac, MI, he was the son of John L. Day of Andrews and Janie Sue Byford Day of Hartselle, AL. He was a truck driver with the City of Andrews and a part- time employee with Elsie’s Steak & Seafood.

Surviving, in addition to the parents, are a half-sister, Janet Gibson of Waynesville, NC; two half-brothers, Michael Smallwood of Hartselle, AL and Gregory Lynn Day of Franklin, NC, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services at 7:00 PM Friday (Oct. 3) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews with the Rev. Mark Chase officiating. Interment at 11:00 AM Saturday (Oct. 4) in Bethel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: John Anderson, Brian Darcy, Sean Bryson, Chico Keith Gillespie, Tony Postell, and Morgan Lunsford. Honorary pallbearers: Timothy Michael, Whitney Barnett, Allen Davis, Ryan O’Donovan, Skip Allen, and Gary Frazier.

The family will receive friends from 5-6:45 Friday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews prior to the services.
