TEAGUE
Wayne Teague, 93, of Murphy died
Monday (Oct. 20, 2003) in a Murphy hospital. A native of
Cherokee County, he was the son of the late Ben and Parelee
Miller Teague and the husband of the late Minnie Hyatt Teague,
who died in 1987. He had worked for Clifton Precision and
was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Julie Jordon and Ruby Hyde and five
brothers, Forrest Teague, Hayner Rogers, Obid Teague, Sheridan Teague, and
Wade Collins.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews; and a half-sister, Deena Cole of
Murphy.
Funeral services at 7:00 PM Wednesday (Oct. 22, 2003) in the Chapel of Ivie
Funeral Home, Murphy with the Rev. Kenneth McDonald officiating. Burial at
10:00 AM Thursday (Oct. 23) in Sunset Cemetery. Pallbearers: “Doc” Teague,
John Jordan, Jack McDonald, and Jimmy and Mark Cole.
The family will receive friends from 5:30-6:45 Wednesday evening at the Ivie
Funeral Home, Murphy prior to the services.
