Katie Lance Dyer, 75, of Hayesville died Tuesday (Oct. 19, 2004) in a Clay County care facility. A native and lifetime resident of Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Glenn R. and Leslie Russell Lance and the wife of the late Carl T. Dyer, who died in 1986. She was a homemaker and a member of the Clay County Homemaker's Club and the Hayesville First United Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Kathy Dyer and her friend, Mike of Charlotte, NC; two sons, Thomas Dyer and his wife, Brenda and Charles Dyer and his friend, Julie all of Hayesville; and eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. Funeral services at 7:30 PM Thursday (Oct. 21) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville with the Rev. Aud Brown officiating. Graveside services at 11:00 AM Friday (Oct. 22) in Sweetwater United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Mike Powe, Jim Lance, Brandon Davis, Jason Smith, Marvin Ledford, and Eddie Osborn. The family will receive friends from 5-7:15 Thursday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville prior to the services. Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville in charge of all arrangements. Remember
