  Remember your loved one in their online PERSONAL GUEST BOOK. Click the link at the bottom of each obituary. Robert Ward, 80, of Hayesville died Friday (Oct. 15, 2004) in a Murphy hospital. A native of Brockton, MA, he had been living in Richmond, VA before moving to Hayesville six weeks ago. He was the son of the late Arthur A. and Helen Francis Walsh Ward and the husband of the late Martie Lee Somers Ward, who died April 5, 2003. He attended Ohio Weslyn and Oberlin College in Ohio. He was a retired Major in the US Marine Corp and a veteran of WWII, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War. He was owner and operator of Ward Glass Company in Millville, NJ. He was preceded in death by three sisters. Surviving are a daughter, Dr. Christine L. Ward Garrison and husband, William of Millville, NJ; two sons, Robert S. Ward and wife, Joni of Parker, AZ and Andrew A. Ward and wife, Donna of Hayesville; and 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Private inurnment service will be held at a later date in New Jersey. Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville in charge of all arrangements. Remember
