BERNICE SPENCE
Bernice Spence, 80, of Warne died Monday (October 24, 2005) in a Murphy care facility. A native of Clarion County, PA, she had lived in St. Petersburg, FL and Butler, PA before moving to Clay County in 1997. She was the daughter of the late Lester and Alberta Schoup Fulmer and the wife of the late Charles Adam Spence, who died April 26, 1999. She was a retired medical secretary in the health care industry and was a member of the Truett Memorial Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Sherryl Mikula and Pamela McClure and husband, Timothy all of Warne; a sister, Marilynn Ritter of Pittsburg, PA; a granddaughter, Kimberly McClure; and a grandson, Todd McClure and wife, Sara.
Graveside inurnment at 11:00 AM Friday (Oct. 28) in the Hayesville United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Kevin Miller officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Western Carolina Chapter, Mountain Region Office, 31 College Place, Suite D-320, Asheville, NC 28801-2644.
