A native of Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Harley and Dorothy Rogers Parker. She and her husband moved to Aiken in 1952 and she worked as a secretary at Millbrook Elementary School for 23 years until her retirement. She was a member of South Aiken Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her husband, Cecil M. Smith; two sons, Darryl L. Smith and his wife, Cheryl of Spartanburg, SC and Enoch E. Smith of Aiken, SC; a sister, Janice P. Padgett of Arden, NC; a brother, Jack Parker of Hayesville; and two grandchildren, Kerri Lane Smith and Garrett Smith. Graveside services at 11:00 AM Tuesday (Oct. 25) in the Union Hill Cemetery.
