LINDA McDONALD  FOSTER
 

Linda McDonald Foster, 54, of Waynesville, NC, formerly of Murphy and Hayesville, went to be with her Lord Sunday (Oct. 21, 2007) from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  A native of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Roy Edward and Martha Nell Johnson McDonald.  She had worked as a computer teacher for Computer Pals for all the Haywood County Day Care students.  She was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church in Waynesville where her husband serves as pastor.  Her whole life was committed to serving others while all the time providing a Godly home for her family.
 
Surviving are her husband of 36 years, Rev. Johnny Foster; three sons, Rev. Jonathan Foster and wife, Marcie of Maiden, NC, Joseph Foster and wife, Martha of Hayesville, and Jacob Foster of Waynesville;  three sisters, Sandra Helton of Murphy, Lorrie Messer of Owensboro, KY, and Julie Mathis of Murphy;  two brothers, Ronnie McDonald of Blairsville, GA and Richard David “Ricky” McDonald of Andrews;  two grandsons, Jon Luke Foster and Joseph Gabriel Foster;  and hundreds of children who affectionately knew her as “Miss Linda”.
 
Funeral services at 7:00 PM Wednesday (Oct. 24) in the Truett Memorial First Baptist Church in Hayesville with the Revs. Aud Brown, Fred Lunsford, and Jonathan Foster officiating.  Interment at 10:00 AM Thursday (Oct. 25) in the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery in Warne.  Pallbearers:  Kenny Messer, Larry Helton, Josh Mathis, Scott Helton, Randall Harris, and Rod McDonald.
 
The family will receive friends from 4-6:45 Wednesday evening prior to the funeral service at the Truett Memorial First Baptist Church.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Linda McDonald Foster to the Riverside Baptist Church Youth, Children’s, and Baby Nursery Facilities Fund, 2171 Lake Logan Road, Waynesville, NC 28786.
