HORST  R.  LIPKE

Horst R. Lipke, 76, of Hayesville went home to be with the Lord Thursday (Sept. 13, 2007) in a Clay County care center.  A native of Germany, he had lived in Deerfield Beach, FL before moving to Hayesville in 2001.  He was the son of the late Bruno and Margarita Baumert Lipke.  He was a retired chef working in many fine country clubs and restaurants.  Horst was a member of the Hayesville First United Methodist Church.
 
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Suzanne Lipke and Garbriella Lipke Peters.
 
Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Donna Orr Lipke;  two sons, Christian Lipke and wife, Darla of New Smyrna Beach, FL and Andreas Lipke and wife, Jennifer of Boca Raton, FL; two sisters, Rosemarie Monath of Hamburg, Germany and Marianne Wind of Glucksburg, Germany;  and seven grandchildren.
 
Memorial services at 11:00 AM Friday (Sept. 21) in the chapel of the Hayesville First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kirk Hatherly officiating.
 
The family will receive friends following the service in the church.
