Ivie Funeral Home HAROLD EDWARD “Cotton” McLEAN

Harold Edward “Cotton” McLean, 58, of Andrews died Tuesday (Sept. 9, 2003) in a Murphy hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, he was the son of Thelma Gibby McLean of Andrews and the late Robert Woodfin McLean. He had worked for the NC Department of Transportation and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert W. McLean Jr. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a sister, Margaret Tatham of Andrews; and three brothers, Carroll, Carl, and Vernon McLean all of Andrews.

Funeral services at 7:30 PM Wednesday (Sept. 10) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews with the Rev. Clay Hardin officiating. Burial in the Valleytown Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:15 Wednesday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews prior to the services.

The family requests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720. Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews in charge of all arrangements.
