NANNIE
JO PALMER
Nannie Jo Palmer, 89, of Arlington, VA, formerly of Hayesville, died Sunday
(Sept. 7, 2003) in Virginia Hospital Center. A native of Clay County, she had
lived in Washington D.C. most of her life. She was the daughter of the late
Fred and Bonnie Bryan Palmer. She worked for many years as an accountant for
Holmes Bakery and later retired from FDIC in Washington D.C. Jo was of the
Methodist faith.
Surviving are a sister, Janet Shoemaker of Arlington; two brothers, Jack Palmer
of Hayesville and Jimmy Palmer of Inwood, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services at 11:00 AM Friday (Sept. 12) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral
Home, Hayesville with the Rev. Johnny Foster officiating. Burial in the Hayesville
Baptist / Presbyterian Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 10:45 Friday morning at
the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville.
