Ethel Radford, 82, of Murphy died Monday (Sept. 20, 2004) at the home of her granddaughter in Valley, AL. She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County and a daughter of the late Patton and Sylvia Whitener Coleman and the wife of the late Olen Radford, who died Aug. 10, 1979. She retired after several years as a sales clerk with Sky City. Ethel was a member of the Mount Nebo Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Martie Fetner and husband, Everett of Valley, AL, Joann Mackool and husband, John of Orlando, FL, and Maefol Wells of Macon, GA; and eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services at 2:00 PM Thursday (Sept. 23) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with Dr. Chester Jones and Rev. Jerry Kilpatrick officiating. Burial in Unaka Baptist Church Cemetery. Grandchildren as pallbearers: Joe and Bobby Wells, Len Hillers, Stacey Bryson, Greg Fetner, and Yvonne Monte.
