Ioa Jane "Monk" Sherlin, 83, of Brasstown died Thursday (Sept. 16, 2004) in a Gainesville, GA hospital. A native and lifetime resident of Clay County, she was a daughter of the late Carl & Roxan Teems Caldwell. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sweetwater Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Ramona Sherlin Hall and husband, Jerry of Young Harris, GA; and two grandsons, Christopher Hall and Benjamin Hall both of Young Harris, GA. Funeral services at 2:00 PM Sunday (Sept. 19) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville with the Revs. Aud Brown and Eddie Cook officiating. Burial in the Sweetwater Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Christopher and Benjamin Hall, Charles and Roger Caldwell, Gene Waldroup, and Gary Swanson.
