CLARENCE HILL

Clarence Hill, 88, of Hayesville died Friday (Sept. 2, 2005) at his residence. A native of Camden, NJ, he had lived in Long Island, NY before moving to Hayesville in 2002. He was the son of the late Clarence Edward and Mabelle Geiswite Hill. He was an electrical engineer with Sperry Rand for 30 years, retiring in 1970. He was a member of the Society of Electrical Engineers and was a volunteer with the American Red Cross. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Bridgehampton, NY, where he served as an elder.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ida and Margaret.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Janet Schwotzer Hill; a daugher, Lois Hill of Hayesville; three sons, Thomas Hill and wife, Donna of Cape Coral, FL, Albert Hill and wife, Mary of Wayne, PA, and Marshall Hill and wife, Elizabeth of Madison, OH; and six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

No services are planned.
