EARL RUSSELL
Earl Russell, 86, of Hayesville died Tuesday (Sept. 20, 2005) in a Murphy medical center. A native of Troy, NY, he had lived in Vermont and Florida before moving to Hayesville in 1990. He was the son of the late Robert A. and Mildred Taylor Parsons and the husband of the late Jean Cherbeneau Russell, to whom he was married for 25 years. Mr. Russell was an estimator for the Army Corp of Engineers, a builder and contractor, the originator of “The Cheese House” franchises, a Deputy Sheriff of Bennington County, VT, and he served on the contractor's licensing board in Stuart, FL before retiring to Hayesville.
Surviving are his son, Robert W. Russell and wife, Avis of Athol, NY; a brother, Lloyd Parsons of Florida; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Russell of Woodbury, CT.
A private burial will be in the East Nassau Rural Cemetery in East Nassau, NY at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.
