Hill, 77, of Morganton, GA died Sunday (September 25, 2005) in a Dalton, GA hospital. A native of Cherokee County, he had lived in Cicero, IL before moving back to this area in 1989. He was the son of the late Kate Harper Whitaker. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Army in the Third Division. He was retired from the trucking industry and was a member of the New Providence Baptist Church in Lenoir City, TN. Surviving are an uncle, John A. Harper of Murphy; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services at 7:00 PM Wednesday (Sept. 28) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with the Rev. Ray Harper officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30-6:45 Wednesday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy prior to the services. Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy in charge of all arrangements. Remember
