WILLA MAE WYER

Willa Mae Wyer, 81, of Cornelia, GA, formerly of Hayesville, died Monday (September 5, 2005) in a Habersham County, GA medical center. A native of Clay County, she had been living in Georgia for the past 60 years. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin E. and Zennia Roberson Swaim and the wife of the late John Wyer, who died in 1991. She was a retired supervisor with Southern Bell in Atlanta and was a member of the Myers Chapel Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Pauline Ruscoe, Violet Gribble, and Marie Wells.
Surviving are two brothers, Frank Swaim and wife, Irene of Cornelia, GA and Ray Swaim and wife, Zella of Hayesville; and five nieces and two nephews.
Funeral services at 2:00 PM Wednesday (Sept. 7) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville with the Revs. Edward Herring and Frank Clay officiating. Burial in the Myers Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers: Frank Swaim II, Jason Lewallen, Eugene Franklin, Robert Alexander, Gene Moore, and Patt Miller.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 1:45 Wednesday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville prior to the services.
The family requests memorials be made in loving memory of Willa Mae Wyer to the Myers Chapel Cemetery Fund, c/o Ray Swaim, 2367 Myers Chapel Road, Hayesville, NC 28904.
